CYL COVID Safety Guidelines

Guidelines for Positive Test Cases

If an athlete, coach, or volunteer tests positive for COVID, we require that they notify CYL immediately AND:

Days 1-5: Isolate and Stay Home!
Stay away from CYL activities for 5 consecutive days.
Day “0” is the day you become symptomatic or the date of your positive test, whichever is first.
CYL activities are not considered "COVID close contacts." This means that just the person that tests positive needs to distance themselves from CYL activities.

Day 6: Return to Play
You can return to CYL activities on Day “6” IF:

  1. You are symptom free for at least 24 hours AND
  2. You have a negative rapid antigen or PCR test.
    • For more information on testing, please see The City of Cambridge's Testing Resources webpage.

Day 6-10: Just in Case
Wear a mask at CYL activities after returning to play.

NOTE - CYL activities are not considered "COVID close contacts." This means that just the person that tests positive needs to distance themselves from CYL activities.

Let's continue to play safe and have fun!
