Registration

Cambridge Youth Lacrosse offers several programs for the 2019 Spring Season:

  • MBYLL/FGLL Travel Teams
  • Future Falcons Co-Ed (7 and under) Development Program
  • MBYLL Select Teams

Important Deadlines

  • Registration for MBYLL/FGLL Travel Teams closes on February 11th, 2019. We ask that you register earlier rather than later for planning purposes. This gives us enough lead time to meet Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League and Founders Girls Lacrosse League registration requirements. Teams will be filled on a first come, first served basis. However, we will add additional teams by age group if the numbers support it.
  • As incentive for early team registration, we are offering an "Early Falcon" discount to those that register through Jan 7th, 2019.
  • Evaluation for MBYLL Select teams will be held in mid-March prior to the season.

CYL Registration Process

Registration is a two-step process. Please follow these steps:

  1. Register your athletes with their appropriate parent league:
    Girls and Future Falcons Boys
    NOTE: League registration is required because it provides our athletes with insurance coverage for all of our events! Starting with the 2018 season, Boys on travel teams will be covered by MBYLL, not US Lacrosse.
  2. Choose the CYL program that best meets your needs:
    • MBYLL/FGLL Travel Team (includes two practices & Weekly Lacrosse Skills) - $150
      "Early Falcon" Discount through 1/7/19 - $125!
    • Future Falcons Co-Ed development program (7 yr and under) - $25
  3. Complete our online registration form!

  4. Get your equipment!
    • Verify what you need.
    • Check for discounts and specials from our sponsors.

  5. Consider making a tax-deductible donation to Cambridge Youth Lacrosse
    • Give what you can! Give what you feel!
    • We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, so donations are tax-deductible.
    • To put costs in perspective, comparable programs in our region charge between $80 and $250 per player, per season.
    • 100% of donations go to equipment and financial aid.
    • Funds may be donated online or via mail. You can learn about your options here.
  6. That's it, you're ready to play!
    • You will receive a confirmation email from us confirming your registration.

Team Jersey Replacement Policy

Registration includes ONE team jersey. If your athlete loses it, you are responsible for it at a replacement cost of $35.

Tuition Refund Policy

Did you over schedule your children? Did that stray baseball sideline your child for the rest of the season? Are you moving away?

To help families deal with the unforeseen, we offer prorated registration refunds that follow the schedule listed below, less a one-time $5 processing fee:

  • 100% refund prior to March 31st.
  • Prorated refund between March 31st and May 5th based on an 8 week season (E.g., On April 29th, we would refund your family 50% of your registration fees.)
  • 0% after May 5th, due to the fact that as an organization we will have already committed to expenses associated with operations.

In order to be eligible for a refund, families must be in good fiduciary standing with Cambridge Youth Lacrosse and have returned all borrowed equipment and jerseys before refund will be processed.

Refunds take between 5-10 business days to issue back to your card.

Donating Tuition Refunds

Refunds can also be credited as 501(c)(3) donations to Cambridge Youth Lacrosse. Because this is a frictionless internal transaction, we do not need to charge the $5 processing fee. Donations to CYL make equipment and scholarships available to families most in need and are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
